What is the Salary?
The Salary on offer will be subject to experience.
Do I need to live near to one of your offices?
Yes, our surveyors need to live within a commutable distance to the office to meet up with survey team members and for office-based functions to be completed.
What Training will I receive?
GEOTEC will provide full training, which will consist of a mixture of internal, on-the-job training and shadowing, as well as several external training programmes.
How long does it take to become a Utility Surveyor?
It takes between 6 months to a year before you can be considered experienced enough to form part of a 2-man survey team. After 1 year + you may be able to lead a survey and be responsible for producing your own survey results.
Will I get my own van?
No, we have a fleet of vans which are shared by the survey team.
Is there any travelling involved?
Yes, GEOTEC works Nationwide and as a result, you will need to travel to the site, wherever that may be. As such, there may be early starts and late finishes but we do also do “stayaways” where the Company will put you up in a hotel near the site, where required.
Do I need to work Out of Hours?
Yes, due to the nature of our work, there are occasions when you will need to work nights and be asked to work weekends, particularly on the railway. We can discuss how this works with you at the interview.
