GEOTEC Surveys Ltd have successfully navigated the RSSB RISQS Railway Audit to continue supporting our Rail Clients for another year.
This allows GEOTEC to provide invaluable Utility Mapping, GPR Surveys & 2D / 3D Topographical Surveys to our clients working within the Rail Sector & on Railway Infrastructure.
GEOTEC Surveys sponsors our own PTS-certified survey staff through the Sentinel Database.
This involves annual assessments around Fitness to Work, Drug and Alcohol Testing, Fatigue Management, Training and Competences, as well as compliance with our own Management Systems, which are certified to ISO9001:2015 Quality Assurance.
We are audited against the Core and Sentinel Modules of the Railway Industry Supplier Qualification Scheme (RISQS).
This consists of a 1-day face-to-face audit, which took place at our Head Office in Godalming, Surrey on Wednesday 18th June 2025.
This latest Audit result demonstrates our continued level of meeting industry high standards and attitude to maintaining and surpassing these standards.
This provides our clients with the confidence to keep using us for the provision of Underground Mapping on the Railway, in line with the below service codes.
- C.C.3.2.16 Site investigation > Service
- C.C.3.2.8 Specialist Site Services (including Surveying)- Non-Intrusive > Service
GEOTEC Surveys Ltd have over 15 years experience of working within the Rail Industry.
Last year (Audit period July 2024 to June 2025), we assisted our clients with support on Level Crossings, Railway Depots, track paralleling hut projects, railway substations and crane installations.
We offered Underground Mapping Surveys for Buried Services and Utilities, Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) for subsurface obstructions, features, voids and other such subsurface anomalies, as well as 2D and 3D Topographical Surveys.
Our PTS certified survey teams regularly work unsociable hours, at night and at weekends, carrying out surveys under Railway Possessions and Line Blocks.
Recently we have completed survey works in Plymouth, Stoney Street in London (near Borough Market), Aylesford in Kent, Dover and Elmbridge, Surrey.
The Audit scrutinises our Railway Management System, Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality Systems.
