GEOTEC Utility Mapping Survey for a new addition to a Holiday Park.
Primrose Valley Holiday Park in Filey, run by Haven, is due to be the first Holiday Park to open a Wetherspoons onsite, according to the BBC.
This first Wetherspoons is planned to open its doors in March, whilst other sites are also understood to follow suit in due course.
GEOTEC Surveys Ltd carried out a Utility Mapping Survey at Primrose Valley, in May 2023, on behalf of our client, who operates & maintains their private customers’ High Voltage (HV) Power networks.
The purpose of the survey was to locate and map the as-laid HV routes and positions of the various substations onsite. The client provided us with a master plan to overlay results onto.
This undertaking demonstrates GEOTEC’s flexibility to carry out bespoke surveys, on a variety of sites.
Holiday Parks are vast and have a range of buried services spider-webbing around them, especially given that each caravan or chalet has its utility infrastructure in place for its guests.
The team also has to be mindful of working around the ongoing operations of the site and working in a manner that allows Haven’s guests to continue to enjoy their holiday, without disruption or inconvenience.
As we were working within Substation environments, with HV services present, we used surveyors who have vast experience in working within Substations and who have been trained & assessed to a high level to allow them to work safely within these high-risk environments.
We also hold Achilles UVBD Accreditation, illustrating our suitability for working within the Energy Sector, achieving a score of 100% across the board during our previous Verify Audit in August 2023.
It is unfortunate that ‘Spoons, was not open when we carried out the survey for our team to take advantage of the infamous Curry Night on a Thursday or allow them to partake in an American Breakfast before starting a hard day of surveying!
